
Vipers Return Home with a Victory over Oklahoma City

Edinburg, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (14-5), the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, returned to the Bert Ogden Arena with a 126-118 victory over the Oklahoma City Blue (11-11) on Friday night.
With 7:41 remaining in the first quarter both teams were tied for the first time with a score of 10-10. The Vipers would go on to extend its lead 24-14, but Oklahoma would narrow the Vipers lead 31-27 going into the second quarter.
The second quarter was a continuous fight between both teams for the lead. With 9:26 left in the quarter the game was tied 36-36. After that, the lead changed several times. Both teams wanted the lead, but the game would go 62-62 into the half.
In the third quarter both teams tried to pull away, but the score would continue to be tied 79-79. After a score of 81-79 in favor of Oklahoma, RGV would go on a 10-point run and take an 89-81 lead. At the end of the third the Vipers would walk away with a lead of 94-87. RGV maintained the lead of the game and grasped a 126-118 victory.
The Vipers were led by Anthony Lamb with a double-double with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Houston Rockets Two-Way player Trevelin Queen posted 27 points and eight rebounds. Mfiondu Kabengele obtained 23 points and seven rebounds. Marcus Foster tallied 13 points and six rebounds. Tyler Bey came off the bench to score 10 points. Houston Rockets assignee, Daishen Nix, led the team in assists with 12.
D.J Wilson led Oklahoma City as he posted a double-double with 30 points and 12 rebounds. Rob Edwards hit 19 points. Zavier Simpson also obtained a double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Jahmi'us Ramsey tallied 13 points. Scotty Hopson summed up 11 points. Both Robert Woodson II and Georgios Kalaitzakis scored 10 points each.
