LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Houston Rockets assignee Kevin Porter Jr. nearly recorded his second triple-double of the season as Vipers (8-6) sweep NBA G League Ignite (7-7) 130-107 at AdventHealth Arena on Thursday afternoon. RGV extended their winning streak to five games and kept playoff hope alive.

Porter Jr. scored a game-high 28 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists while adding two steals and a lone block. The assignee shot 50.0% from the three-point range while shooting 47.4% from the field. Armoni Brooks came off the bench with 26 points, six rebounds and two steals. Brooks made five three-pointers (50.0% 3PT) and 61.5% from the field.

Three other starters hit double-digits for the Vipers as Josh Reaves totaled 20 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Trevelin Queen scored 15 points adding five rebounds. Anthony Lamb totaled 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists while Dewan Hernandez tallied 15 points, four rebounds, two assists and two blocks from off the bench.

For G League Ignite, Jalen Green racked a team-high of 22 points with three rebounds, three assists. Brandon Ashley recorded a double-double with 18 points, 14 rebounds, dishing out three assists.

The Vipers led the way throughout the first half of the matchup, but the second half really sparked the game. RGV earned a season-high 31-point lead in the third quarter that kept the momentum until the final buzzer of the game.

RGV continues play tomorrow night, Mar. 5 at 7:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. CT as they face Santa Cruz Warriors for the final game of the regular-season.
