
Magic Defeat Stars to Win Fourth Straight

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, defeated the Salt Lake City Stars 104-84 at the AdventHealth Arena to extend their winning streak to four games.
The Stars got off to a hot start and took a 13-point lead in the first quarter, capitalizing on six Magic turnovers. DJ Hogg, and the rest of Lakeland's bench, took control in the second quarter as the Magic took a nine-point lead into halftime. The Magic second unit outscored the Stars bench 44-18 in the first half.
Lakeland extended the lead to 10 points going into the fourth before pulling away in the final period to win by 20. The Magic outrebounded the Stars 62-29 in the game, led by a season-high 13 rebounds from Hogg. Lakeland's bench outscored Salt Lake City's bench by 35 points.
Hogg led all scorers and rebounders with 20 points and 13 rebounds on 4-5 shooting from three. Justin Jackson had his best night of the season, scoring 17 points on 4-6 shooting from three in just over 11 minutes. Robert Franks posted 14 points, 12 rebounds and two assists on 6-8 shooting.
Trevon Scott finished with 14 points, three rebounds and two assists. Romaro Gill posted 14 points, three rebounds and one block. Mike Scott added 14 points, two rebounds and one assist.
The Lakeland Magic are back in action on Friday against the Iowa Wolves. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:00 PM at the AdventHealth Arena. The game will be nationally televised on NBA TV and Twitch.
