Vipers Get Revenge on Austin Spurs with 125-104 Win

EDINBURG, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (3-2) defeated Austin Spurs (2-3), 125-104 on Thursday, November 15.
Vipers started off hot, dropping 36 points in the first; were led offensively early by shooting guard Angel Rodriguez with 10 points. The Spurs were limited to just 13 points in the quarter. Austin's attack was led by Cameron Rundles who tallied seven points in the first. Michael Frazier of the Vipers had two steals and three boards defensively to limit the Spur attack.
At the half the home dominance continued as the Vipers extended their lead to 65-39. The Spurs were led offensively in the first half by Drew Eubanks, who racked up 12 points to help cut into the deficit.
In the late goings of the third quarter the Spurs broke into the Viper lead, but the overwhelming attack by the home team was too much. RGV led 108-67 at the end of the third and found a new offensive leader in Danuel House who tallied 21 points.
A home victory was managed well by the Vipers with a score of 125-104. House kept the offensive leader crown for RGV with 21 points, two assists and five boards. The Spurs were led on offense by Drew Eubanks with 22 points, one assist and six boards.
