
Vipers Add Tim Bond to Roster

EDINBURG, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today that the team has added Guard Tim Bond to the active roster.
Prior to his arrival at RGV, Bond (6-7, 160) spent the start of the 2021-22 season with the Windy City Bulls in which he played eight games and averaged 6.1 points, 2.0 rebounds and assists and 1.0 blocks. He then went on to play for the Lakeland Magic where he appeared in nine games. With the Magic, Bond averaged 9.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.7 steals.
He spent the 2019-20 season with the Westchester Knicks averaging 7.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 35 games. The 26-year-old was part of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 2018-2019 Championship team where he averaged 5.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists within 47 games.
Bond's international career began in 2018-2019 with the Ostioneros de Guaymas as part of the Mexican CIBACOPA league. During his tenure in Mexico, the guard averaged 10.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 blocks in 12 games. The Maryland native spent his NCAA career with the Eastern Michigan Eagles from 2014-18. He appeared in 123 games averaging 8.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.9 steals.
