Vipers Add Thomas to Roster

EDINBURG, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today the addition of guard Brodric Thomas to a G League contract for the 2020-21 NBA G League season.

Thomas was previously waived by the Houston Rockets as a two-way player, was transferred to the Vipers at the start of single-site play. With RGV, Thomas averaged 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.0 blocks in two games played.

On Feb. 11, Thomas recorded his first career double-double tallying 18 points, 10 rebounds. Defensively, he totaled two steals and two blocks.

Prior to being transferred to RGV, the 6-5-foot guard appeared in four games with the Rockets, averaging 2.5 points, 1.0 rebound, 1.0 assists in 6.0 minutes of action. On Dec. 26, 2020, Thomas totaled three rebounds, three assists in 10 minutes of play.
