
Stars Acquire Dakarai Allen; Waive Toolson

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, acquired guard Dakarai Allen from the available player pool, it was announced today. In a related move, the team waived guard Jake Toolson due to a season-ending right foot injury.
Allen (6-5, 193, San Diego State) appeared in 43 total games (22 starts) last season for the Grand Rapids Drive in the NBA G League averaging 7.9 points with 3.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists. Allen started his professional career in 2017-18 with the Stars after winning a roster spot at a local tryout, appearing in 27 games (7 starts) for Salt Lake City during the season.
Toolson (6-5, 205, BYU) was an affiliate player on the Stars after participating in Utah Jazz training camp this season. Toolson appeared in the Stars opener against Erie scoring five points and grabbing two rebounds.
