Manchester, NH- RHP Vince Perkins was placed on the disabled list today. Perkins is 3-4 with a 4.14 ERA in 14 starts with New Hampshire this season. He leads the team with 30 walks on the year in 74.0 innings pitched. The 23-year-old is a member of the Toronto Blue Jays 40 man roster. He was originally an 18th round pick of Toronto in the 2000 draft. He is a Canada native, having been born in Victoria, British Columbia.
The Fisher Cats wrap up a 7 game homestand this morning at 11:05 AM against the Erie SeaWolves, Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. The team hits the road for a 6 game roadtrip beginning this weekend and returns home Friday, July 1 at 6:35 PM in a 2004 Eastern League Championship Series rematch with the Altoona Curve, Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
