Veteran and Rookie Join the Alouettes

Montreal, April 18, 2002 - Montreal Alouettes General Manager Jim Popp announced today that veteran defensive back Nate Terry and rookie receiver and specialist Keith Stokes have been invited to training camp.

Terry (6'3'', 185 lbs.) attended the Cleveland Browns training camp of the NFL in 2001. He then joined the Alouettes' practice roster but did not play in a game. He played 6 games with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2000 and made 18 defensive tackles, one special team tackle, one quarterback sack and knocked down a pass. He is 25.

Stokes (5'8'', 182 lbs.) was on the Alouettes' practice roster at the end of the 2001 season, but did not play. He was the punt return specialist of East Carolina University. During a game in the 2000 season, Stokes returned a punt on 79-yard for a touchdown, giving him the Conference USA special teams player of the week honor. In 1999, Stokes caught 24 passes for gains of 364 yards and a pair of touchdowns and returned 26 punts on 404 yards including one all the way for the score. He is 23.

Both players are expected in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu on June 2 for training camp.
