Vermont Lake Monsters News Release

BURLINGTON, VT --- The Vermont Expos activated pitcher Nehomar Ochoa from the disabled list and pitcher Clyde Jenkins has rejoined Vermont after a stint with the Gulf Coast League Expos, the team announced today.

To make room on the roster for Ochoa and Jenkins, infielder Ja'Mar Clanton has been promoted to Brevard County of the Florida State League and pitcher Chris Goodman has been promoted to Savannah of the South Atlantic League.

Ochoa pitched in one game earlier this season for Vermont, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits over four innings in a start at Oneonta on June 20th, before going on the disabled list. Jenkins was with the Expos in mini-camp before the season, but did not start the season with Vermont. He had a 0.00 ERA in three games for the Gulf Coast Expos, allowing one unearned run on one hit with one walk and seven strikeouts in 3.1 innings.

Clanton, who was 3-for-4 with a run on Tuesday in Vermont's 8-6 win at Tri-City, was hitting .235 (12-for-51) with five runs, a double, triple and three RBI for the Expos in 17 games before his promotion. Goodman was 1-3 with a 5.14 ERA, allowing 25 runs (24 earned) on 54 hits wit 13 walks and 27 strikeouts over 42.0 innings in eight starts for Vermont.
