
Even rain can't stop Renegades win streak

Hudson Valley Renegades News Release
Fishkill, NY- In a game that featured a 43-minute rain delay, the Hudson Valley Renegades defeated the Auburn Doubledays 4-3 at Dutchess Stadium in front of a sell out crowd of 4,636.
The Doubledays jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the second, but the Renegades bounced back in the bottom of the inning scoring three runs of their own and taking the lead for good. 3B Pat Cottrell started the scoring with a solo home run. SS Salvador Paredes drove in the second run with an RBI single and CF Fernando Perez drove in the third run of the inning.
Jon Barratt (ND) started for the Renegades, but left the game after 1 1/3 innings because of an injury. In his one inning of work he allowed two runs on three hits while walking and striking out one. Matt Cobb (W, 2-4) relieved Barratt and pitched five innings allowing no runs and surrendering three hits in the victory. Ryan Bitter (S, 5) picked up the save pitching 1/3 of an inning.
Casey Janssen (L, 2-1) started for the Doubledays allowing ten hits and four runs in five innings of work.
The Doubledays and Renegades square off again tomorrow at Dutchess Stadium. Scheduled pitch for the Renegades is Eduardo Delacruz (2-2, 3.05) and Juan Perez (4-1, 3.32) for the Doubledays. First pitch is at 7:31 PM.
