
Ventura homer wins it for Suns

Eastlake, OH:Leivi Ventura has carried the Suns to three straight wins. Monday it was a two-out, three-run homer in the ninth by Ventura that won it 6-3. He won Saturday's game in extra innings, and was 3-4 with a homer on Sunday. Ventura is 6-13 with two homers and eight RBI's in the last three games. Jonel Pacheco was equally as impressive with his 4-4 performance and scored three times. Jon Niese started, and gave up just one run in 6 1/3 innings but German Marte got the win in relief after initially blowing the save in the eighth.
The Suns (5-6) can even up their second half record with a win on Independence Day at 2:05pm in Eastlake. RHP Waner Mateo goes against RHP Jeff Stevens for the Captains. Suns return home to host the Lakewood Blueclaws on Thirsty Thursday/Ladies Night and 70's Disco Night at 7:05pm.
