Eastlake, OH:Three homeruns were not enough for the Suns as they lost 9-4 to the Lake County Captains on an Independence Day afternoon game. The Suns have hit five homers in five July games after hitting 28 homers in 25 June games. However, all three homers in Tuesday's game were of the solo variety. Brandon Nall and Jim Wladyka had scoreless outings in relief to give the Suns a fighting chance late.
Wednesday at 11:05am will have RHP Jeff Landing go up against LHP Tom Cowley for Lake County for a morning Camp Day. After the rubber match of this series the Suns come back home to host Lakewood for four games from Thursday through Sunday. Thirsty Thursday/70's Disco Night, Friday Fireworks, Saturday Cap Giveaway, and Sunday Slip and Slide are the big promo's this weekend.
