
Velemirovich Named SPHL Player of the Week

[FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.] - Tim Velemirovich of the Fayetteville FireAntz, today, was named the Sherwood Player of the Week in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL).
The Thompson, Manitoba native is the first recipient of the award this season for the FireAntz. This past week Velemirovich had five goals and four assists in helping the club split their grueling 4-games in 5-nights road trip.
Velemirovich is the 7th leading scorer in the SPHL this season netting 21 goals, 33 assists, 54 points while maintaining a team-leading +17 rating. He is also leading the SPHL in scoring among rookies.
The FireAntz next home games are this weekend and it is Fayetteville Observer Weekend. The I-95 rivalries will heat up as the Pee Dee Cyclones visit on Saturday, February 17th at 7:35 pm. The following day, Sunday, the FireAntz will play host to the Richmond Renegades. Great seats still remain and there are outstanding group rates available from the FireAntz office at (910) 321-0123.
