Snakes defenseman Jeff Moor returns to team

Columbus, Ga. - Cottonmouths defenseman Jeff Moor will return to Columbus today to rejoin the Snakes. Moor has spent the last two weeks with the South Carolina Stingrays of the East Coast Hockey League. In five games with the Stingrays, he registered no points and picked up two penalty minutes.

The Snakes, though having played shorthanded, have gone 6-0-0 during Moor's absence. The Snakes brought in long-time fan favorite Tom Wilson as a replacement for Moor, but will continue to play short one defenseman due to Brock Johnson's injury.

The Cottonmouths take to the road Friday and Saturday and look to extend their winning streak into double figures. The Snakes, who have not lost since Jan. 13, are currently on a nine-game winning streak, and hold a one-point lead atop the SPHL standings.

The next home game will be this Sunday, Feb. 18. The second edition of player cards will be given out to the first 1,500 fans. Take those cards to the Carmike 15 in Columbus Park Crossing on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m. to get them autographed by the Snakes.
