Boise Hawks News Release

BOISE, ID - A surge of offense for the Vancouver Canadians (Short Season A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays) lead them to a 13-5 win for them over the Boise Hawks (Short Season A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies).

Vancouver scored 11 runs through the first three innings of the ballgame. One run came across in the top of the first from an RBI-double off the bat of Jesus Lopez, then six runs crossed in the top of the second and then four in the third.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Boise chipped away on a two-run blast from Trey Jacobs out to right-center field to make it 11-4 still in favor of Vancouver. This was the first home run for Jacobs on the season.

Boise then added one more run to the board in the bottom of the seventh off an RBI-single from Michael Toglia and made it 11-5 Canadians.

The Canadians would then strike back with two more runs, one in the eighth and one in the ninth.

The final game of the series will be played tomorrow night at 7:15 p.m. from Memorial Stadium.
