Troy, NY - Ten hits were not enough against the Tri-City Valleycats on Sunday, as Aberdeen fell 5-3 in the rubber match. Each team once led but the Valleycats held on with the game tying run on base in the 9th.

BIG MOMENTS
3rd inning: Tri-City took their first lead on a two run frame thanks to RBIs from Grae Kessinger and Zach Bierman.
Top of the 5th inning: Three straight doubles from Toby Welk, Luke Ringhofer and Alex Murphy scored two runs and gave the 'Birds 3-2 lead.
Bottom of the 5th inning: Two runs scored on four hits for the Valleycats. With the bases loaded and no one out, Morgan McSweeney took the mound and shut down Tri-City.
9th inning: Aberdeen threatened with two on and two outs but came up short.
