Harrisburg Senators News Release

The Harrisburg Senators announced today that the team's auction to raise funds for the Lebanon VA Hospital at the end of the season was a huge success.

More than $4,500 was raised to benefit the local hospital, which supplies services to military veterans. The medical center consists of a main campus in Lebanon plus Community Based Clinics in Camp Hill, York, Reading, Lancaster, and Pottsville, PA, serving the veterans of 13 counties in south central Pennsylvania.

Prior to and during the Senators' game on August 30th, more than 100 donated items were auctioned off through a silent auction. Most of the items were autographed and the event included sports, entertainment and celebrity items.

This past auction was the 4th annual event sponsored by Hershocks, Inc and WHP AM-580. With this year's total added in, Hershocks has raised more than $20,000 for the Lebanon VA Hospital.

Hershocks is one of the largest specialty contractors in the state, employing 55 full time employees and over 50 more part time employees throughout the year.
