PORTLAND, Ore. (March 12, 2015) - Orange County Blues FC scrimmaged amateur side IPS/Marathon Taverna on Tuesday, March 10th at Strasser Field in Portland, Oregon. The friendly ended with a 1-0 score line in favor of the Blues.

The game was a tough test for the Blues as the OPSL (Oregon Premier Soccer League) club has won 14 league titles, the highest record in their league. The matchup was an opportunity for Coach Oliver Wyss to test his strategies, lineups, and rotations.

The only goal of the night was made by midfielder Didier Crettenand in the third minute of play, which was the result of a handball inside the box.

The week has been rewarding for the team as they continue to make use of Nike's top class facilities in preparation for the 2015 USL season. The Blues kick off the 2015 season with a home match scheduled for Saturday, March 28th at UCI's Anteater Stadium.

"The trip so far has been amazing. We have been able to see some behind the scenes at Nike, and it is definitely a place that inspires and motivates our team to strive for more. We want to win and we want to be the best, which is what Nike stands for," commented goalkeeper Aaron Perez.

Perez and several other Blues players continue to document the trip through the team's social hubs; including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat. Make sure to follow @OCBluesFC for live updates.
