Saint Louis FC News Release

ST. LOUIS, Mo - Saint Louis FC is pleased to announce the pairing of Bill McDermott and Bob Ramsey as "The Voice" of STL FC during the 2015 USL Season.

McDermott and Ramsey will provide play-by-play and color commentary at all STL FC home games. They will be heard both on 550 KTRS radio broadcasts, as well as the live streaming broadcasts on Youtube.

"We're excited to have Bill and Bob on board this season," General Manager Jeremy Alumbaugh said. "Their enthusiasm for the game will only bolster the experience of our fans."

McDermott provided color commentary for the first soccer game ever televised on ESPN, a 1979 NCAA match between Saint Louis and UCLA.

More than 40 years after his first broadcast, McDermott holds the title of being America's longest-serving soccer broadcaster. He is also the full-time public address announcer for Saint Louis University soccer.

"It's a real privilege for me to be involved with Saint Louis FC," McDermott said. "I'm looking forward to watching this new group of players re-establish St. Louis' identity and place on the national soccer map."

Ramsey is currently the voice of Saint Louis University basketball, which airs on 101.1 ESPN Radio.

He also was a co-host on "The Drive Home Presented by GFI Digital" with Joe Strauss and the late Bryan Burwell on CBS Sports 920.

"I'm very excited about being involved with the return of professional soccer to St Louis," Ramsey said. "This is a big moment for the community, and getting the opportunity to work with Bill McDermott is big for me as well. I'm really looking forward to it."

McDermott and Ramsey will have the call of Saturday's preseason friendly between Saint Louis FC and Tulsa Roughnecks FC. Fans can listen to the match on 550 KTRS.
