
United for D.C. teams up with Glory Days Grill

Washington, D.C. (July 17, 2009) - D.C. United and its charitable arm, United for D.C., announced today a collaboration with team sponsor Glory Days Grill. Though the Dining for Dollars program, customers who dine at any Glory Days Grill location from now until September 30, can earn 10 percent of the total bill as a donation to the foundation. Customers must request a copy of their guest receipt and submit it to United for D.C.
To promote this initiative, United for D.C. will be hosting a "Save to Score" event at the Glory Days Grill in Germantown, MD on July 21, prior to D.C. United's U.S. Open Cup semifinal against the Rochester Rhinos at the Maryland SoccerPlex at 7:30 p.m. Team staff will be present at Glory Days at 5 p.m. for a pre-game raffle, with six tickets to the Open Cup match that evening up for grabs.
During the game, United for D.C. will be holding a second raffle for Glory Days gift certificates and a D.C. United team-autographed ball. Any fan that turns in a Glory Days receipt at the United for D.C. tent at the SoccerPlex is automatically entered in the raffle, and additional raffle tickets will be available to all by purchase. Following the match, Glory Days Grill will be open until midnight offering $5 appetizers.
Glory Days is also the presenting sponsor of Glory Days Grill Score Four or More. If D.C. United scores four or more goals at any regular season home match at RFK, fans can take their ticket stub to any Glory Days Grill for 10 free wings with purchase.
