
Union Win 2-0 against Tampa Bay Rowdies

CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union won their second match in the Suncoast Invitational Saturday night against hosts Tampa Bay Rowdies. Defender Ken Tribbett opened the scoring with a header from Ilsinho's corner in the 17th minute. Tribbett, along with no. 3 SuperDraft pick Keegan Rosenberry, has started the past three games for the Union.
The Union got another goal in the 29th minute when Leo Fernandes found the back of the net from Ilsinho's second assist of the night. Matt Jones, making his first start in goal for the Union in the Suncoast Invitational Tournament, kept a shutout despite the Rowdies' best attempts on goal.
The Union will play their third game in the preseason tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. against New York Red Bulls at the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex.
