CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union played C.F. Monterrey on Saturday night at Subaru Park in a third-place 2023 Leagues Cup match, winning 3-0.With the win, the Union secure a 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup berth . In the first half, midfielder Jesus Bueno opened the scoring in the first minute with a right footed shot from close range. Forward Mikael Uhre doubled the lead in stoppage time of the first half with a shot from the center of the box to make it 2-0. In the 69th minute, midfielder Alejandro Bedoya scored the third and final goal to secure the win.
The Union return to MLS play on Saturday, August 26, where they will face D.C. United at Audi Field (7:30 p.m. ET / Apple TV).
