The New York Red Bulls (6-9-8, 26 pts.) will face off against Atlantic Cup rivals D.C. United (8-10-6, 30 pts.) on Sunday, August 20 at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app, and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
Coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish begins at 7:30 p.m. ET. Tony Husband will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Ross Smith on the English side, Bruno Vain will have the play-by-play responsibilities alongside Andres Agulla on the Spanish broadcast. New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 7 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley.
This will be the 87th regular season meeting between the Red Bulls and D.C. United, with D.C. holding the advantage with a 37-32-17 mark. The Red Bulls have posted a 3-1-1 mark in their last five matches across all competitions against D.C. New York are currently on a four-match unbeaten streak across all competitions, while D.C. United have recorded a 1-2-2 mark in their last five matches.
New York Red Bulls midfielder Luquinhas recorded his second assist across all competitions in the Red Bulls' last match on August 8. The Brazilian midfielder has scored three career goals against D.C. United in three career appearances. In D.C. United's last visit to Red Bull Arena, Luquinhas scored his first-career MLS multi-goal game in a 4-1 victory.
Following Sunday's match, New York will host Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF on Saturday, August 26, where the Red Bulls will debut their Freestyle Kit to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop.
