Quad City Mallards News Release
Moline, IL â The United Hockey League today issued a revised schedule for the remainder of the regular season, after announcing on Friday that the Columbus Stars had suspended operations.
For fans attending Mallards home games, there is one home date that has changed. The game originally scheduled for Friday, March 12, at 7:00 p.m. at The MARK of the Quad Cities against Columbus will now be played on Sunday, March 14, at 4:00 p.m., against the Kalamazoo Wings. That means an added Iowa Wireless Family Fun-Day Sunday game, with a pre-game movie and open skating, and many fun and educational activities for the whole family.
The game at The MARK on Saturday, March 13, at 7:00 p.m., which was to have been played against Columbus, will instead be contested with the Missouri River Otters.
The only other changes are the elimination of the Friday, April 9, game at Kalamazoo, and the addition of a game at Rockford on Wednesday, March 10, at 7:05 p.m.
Season ticket holders should use their tickets for the originally scheduled March 12 game, marked as Game 28, for the rescheduled game on March 14. Anyone with tickets to the March 12 game can use them on March 14. For any questions, call the Mallards office at (309) 764-PUCK.
The next home game is this Saturday, Jan. 17, at 7:00 p.m. against the archrival Flint Generals. Meet baseball great Tommy John, who will speak at 5:45 p.m. and sign autographs at the game. Plus, it's your chance to win free airline tickets in the AirTran Dancing for Destinations contest. It's Church Night, with discount tickets and special recognition for all church groups in attendance. For details, call the Mallards Group Sales Department at (309) 764-PUCK or e-mail groups@qcmallards.com.
Tickets to all Mallards home games are available at The MARK box office, at all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at (563) 326-1111, or online by following the tickets link at www.qcmallards.com.
