Elmira Jackals News Release

Following Friday's announcement that the Columbus Stars have suspended operations, the United Hockey League has revised the schedule for the remainder of the 2003-2004 season.

The following are the changes to the Elmira Jackals schedule:

1/30 at Fort Wayne (not Adirondack)
2/4 at Richmond
2/7 home vs. Port Huron not Columbus
3/14 at Flint (not Columbus)
3/21 now home vs. Adirondack
3/26 at Port Huron (not Richmond)
3/28 home vs. Richmond (Not Columbus)
4/2 home vs. Port Huron (Not Columbus)
4/4 at Muskegon (not home vs. Columbus)

The major change to the schedule is reflected in the addition of a home game on March 21st versus Adirondack, and the switch of the April 4th contest from a home game to and away game versus Muskegon. As a result of the schedule changes, tickets purchased for the April 4th game will be honored at the March 21st.

"There were a lot of things taken into consideration as a result of the Columbus situation," said Arena General Manager Lisa Audi. "Fortunately for us, we had minimal changes to our home schedule. A few game opponents and the moving of one home date. As far as our away schedule, that has seen more changes which will affect our travel itinerary."
