Uher Helps Czech Republic to 5th Place Finish

Dominik Uher helped the Czech Republic National Junior team to a fifth place finish at the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships with a goal and an assist on Wednesday night in a 5-2 win over Team Slovakia. Uher finished the tournament with one goal and two assists in six games.

The native of Frydek-Mistek in the Czech Republic missed the Chiefs last five games while representing his home country. In 26 games this season as a Chief, Uher has 11 goals and 22 points. Uher was a fifth round selection of the Pittsburgh Penguins during last summer's NHL Entry Draft.

The 19-year-old is expected to be back in Spokane on Thursday night and available for this weekend's games.

Spokane will host the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday night before travelling to Seattle and Everett on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
