Inter Miami CF News Release
Inter Miami CF Academy player Santiago Morales has been called up to the U.S. U-15 Men's Youth National Team. Morales, one of 20 players called up for the tournament, is traveling to Europe with the team to compete in the 18th Torneo delle Nazioni. The 12-team tournament will take place at several venues across Austria, Italy and Slovenia from April 25 to May 1.
Placed in Group B, the USA will face Slovenia on Monday, April 25 (11 a.m. ET) and Belgium on Wednesday, April 27 (12 p.m. ET). Both matches will be streamed, with USA - Slovenia available via to-be-announced Slovenian FA platforms and USA-Belgium broadcast by the tournament organizers.
Following pool play, the USA will play two more games as part of a four-team bracket with teams that finished in the same place in the group stage. The placement semifinals are set for Friday, April 29 and finals on Sunday, May 1.
Launched in 2004, this year marks the 18th edition of the Torneo delle Nazioni as the competition returns in full force after playing a reduced four-team tournament last year. The team will follow U.S. Soccer's comprehensive Return to Play protocols during the event.
Morales was previously called up to the U.S. U-15 MYNT in January, participating alongside two Inter Miami teammates - Tyler Austin and Justin Elles - at a training camp in Chula Vista, California.
Morales once again joins the list of current and former Inter Miami CF Academy players to be called up to a national team. The list includes Noah Allen, who was recently called up to the U.S. U-20 MYNT; Edison Azcona, who has been called up to the Dominican national team at the youth and senior levels; Felipe Valencia, who has been called up to a U.S. U-15 MYNT camp; Logan Batiste, who has been called up to the U.S. U-17 MYNT for the UEFA Development Tournament; and Tyler Hall, who has been called up to the U.S. U-17 MYNT on more than one occasion, among others.
