Keys to the Match: to Citi Field...

New York City FC News Release
New York City Football Club return to action this coming Sunday with the visit of Toronto FC.
Here are the Keys to the Match, presented by Tri-State Ford...
Citi Slickers
NYCFC will aim to string back-to-back wins together at Citi Field this weekend, following the 6-0 thrashing of RSL last time out.
It marks a first return to Queens since the visit of our north of the border rivals in the 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs.
The less said about the denouement to that night the better - that is, aside from the incredible atmosphere conjured by our home supporters, which will be another important factor in this regular season matchup.
Taty and Thiago were in red hot form at Yankee Stadium on Easter Sunday and will be just two of the headline acts in contention to take to the field in Flushing for this one.
Building Momentum
It was a vital second win of the season for Ronny Deila's charges, bringing an end to a run of frustrating encounters in domestic and continental competition.
A theme of the season so far has been occasional bouts of profligacy in front of goal - as well as sizable slices of bad luck - but all signs on Sunday pointed to that run being behind us.
The second of five straight home games, NYCFC will hope once again to be as clinical as they were in front of goal in their last match, and for our main man Taty Castellanos to continue moving up the league top-scorers list.
In one fell swoop, MLS Player of the Week Castellanos moved up to second in their rankings with his four-goal haul vs. Salt Lake.
Opposition View
Toronto FC will also come into this match feeling good about themselves after downing the Philadelphia Union 2-1 last Saturday.
That made it four games unbeaten for Bob Bradley's side; a run which included the 2-1 victory over NYCFC at BMO Field a couple of weeks back.
On that occasion, our City boys were left to rue poor fortune again as a clear penalty for a foul on Talles Magno was chalked off by VAR, so it's hoped that this time we can pull out the result to go with the performance vs. Sunday's visitors.
Let's keep it going...
