Oshawa, ON - Hockey Canada announced today that Oshawa Generals forward Ty Tullio and defenceman Lleyton Moore have been invited to participate in Hockey Canada's National Men's Under-18 Team Selection Camp. The final roster will compete in August at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

Tullio was the Generals first round selection, 11th overall in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection. Finishing his first OHL season, Tullio played in 60 games registering 15 goals and 27 assists for 42 points, leading all Gens rookies in scoring. At the team's annual awards banquet, he won Rookie of the Year and was named to the OHL's Second All Star Rookie Team rounding out his rookie campaign.

The 5'10, 159-pound forward participated with Hockey Canada at the 2018 U-17 Hockey Challenge, playing on Team Canada Black, recording an assist in five games.

Moore, originally a Niagara IceDogs first round, 12th overall selection in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection just completed his first Ontario Hockey League season. He has two goals and 11 assists during his rookie campaign with a plus/minus rating of 22 in 28 games after sitting out most the season with an injury.

This will be the 5'8, 169-pound defenceman's second invite to participate with a Hockey Canada National Program. Moore played in five games with Team Canada White at the 2018 U-17 Hockey Challenge.

"Both Ty and Lleyton are coming off really great first year seasons in the OHL," said Vice President and General Manager, Roger Hunt. "Both players represented their country at the U17 tournament and I fully expect both players to represent their country at this tournament also."

The selection camp will run from July 26th-30th in Calgary, Alberta and the 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup will take place from August 5th-10th in Breclav, Czech Republic and Piestany, Slovakia.
