Peterborough Petes News Release

(Peterborough, ON) - Peterborough Petes General Manager Michael Oke announced Wednesday that the team will make a selection during the 2019 CHL Import Draft on Thursday, June 27.

The Petes will be selecting 28th overall in the draft. In order to use the first round selection, the Petes have released forward Erik ?ermák.

?ermák, a 5'11", 154lbs left winger from Prague, Czech Republic, played 68 games with the Petes in the 2018-19 season, scoring 8 goals and 17 assists in that time. He was selected in the 2nd round, 69th overall in the 2018 CHL Import Draft.

"On behalf of the entire Petes organization, I would like to thank Erik for his commitment to Petes hockey over the past season," commented Oke. "Erik was a pleasure to work with both on and off the ice, and although we do feel that he is an OHL-calibre player, in evaluating our current roster, there is an opportunity to improve our organizational depth through the Import Draft this week."
