Two Wings Receive Weekly Honors

Aberdeen Wings News Release
On Monday, the North American Hockey League announced the Easton Divisional Stars of the Week. Receiving honorable mentions were Wings forward #21 Bjorn Sigurdarson (F-Reykjavik, Iceland) and goaltender #35 Andrew Shortridge (G-Eagle River, AK).
Sigurdarson scored the game-winning power play goal in the Wings' lone game last week in the third period. The goal would give Aberdeen a 3-2 victory and two points closer to 3rd place Bismarck in the standings.
Shortridge was solid in net, stopping 38 of 40 shots against Bismarck. Even more impressive was the fact that the Wings killed all 6 power plays the Bobcats had in the game.
