AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Bulls earned a split with the Wichita Falls Wildcats over the weekend taking the first one 7-3, but losing the second 5-3. It's on the road for the Bulls this coming Saturday and Sunday when they face the Wenatchee Wild at Town Toyota Center.
The sixth and final playoff spot in the South Division remains in control of the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees with a six point margin over the Bulls with 12 games remaining in the season.
HERE IS WHAT'S COMING UP:
NO RADIO SHOW TONIGHT: Due to travel and road conditions the Amarillo Bulls Radio Show has been cancelled. There will be no show next Monday due to our travel back from Wenatchee, Washington. The Bulls will keep the fans posted should a radio show be added prior to the next two home games on Friday, Mar. 6 and Saturday, Mar. 7 vs Topeka RoadRunners.
BULLS IN THE COMMUNITY @ SPORT CLIPS ON WEDNESDAY: Members of the Amarillo Bulls will be at the two Sport Clips locations on Georgia and Soncy Roads in Amarillo. Here is an opportunity to get an autograph and picture with the players as well as pick up tickets to an upcoming game.
AMARILLO BULLS @ WENATCHEE WILD, SATURDAY, FEB. 28 AT 9 PM & SUNDAY, MAR. 1 AT 5 PM: It's the first trip ever for the Amarillo Bulls to the state of Washington. The two teams met back in September at the NAHL Showcase in Blaine Minnesota that the Bulls were able to come up victorious. Fans can tune into both games live on CBS Sports Radio 1440, www.amarillobulls.com and on PPV courtesy of Fast Hockey beginning with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 8:40 pm on Saturday, and 4:40 pm on Sunday.
2015-16 AMARILLO BULL SEASON TICKETS NOW ON SALE: Looking for that same seat to catch all of the excitement of hockey in the Texas Panhandle. The Amarillo Bulls are proud to announce that 2015-16 Season Tickets are now on Sale. Fans can reserve their seats for zero per cent down and begin a payment plan as early as next month. BULLS NEXT AT HOME: The Amarillo Bulls host their nasty rival the Topeka RoadRunners on Friday, Mar. 6 and Saturday, Mar. 7 at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. The Bulls will wear specialty jerseys in support of Ronald McDonald House. A live auction follows immediately after Saturday's game. Saturday is Liberty Tax Night and Rampages Birthday.
WEEKEND REWIND:
AMARILLO BULLS 7 - WICHITA FALLS 3: The Amarillo Bulls fired five second period goals and went on to beat Wichita Falls 7-3. Charlie Combs led the way with two goals and two assists. Single goals came off the sticks of Luke Novak, Riley Christensen, Joey DiBenedetto, Will Harrison and Joseph Leonidas. Jacob Weatherly notched the win in goal. The Bulls rallied from 2-0, 2-1 and 3-2 deficits and scored five straight goals at one point.
WICHITA FALLS 5 - AMARILLO BULLS 3: Another 2-0 deficit faced the Amarillo Bulls square in the face on Saturday night but they couldn't come all the way back. Kyle Hartman, Brady Crabtree and Riley Christensen netted markers in the loss for the Bulls Anton Martinsson took the loss in goal.
