Aberdeen Wings News Release
Saturday night, the Aberdeen Wings hosted a "Teddy Bear Toss" game, partnered with the local Yelduz Shriners to donate stuffed animals to the Shriners Hospitals For Children.
Over 1,600 Wings fans showed up in support of the event and to see their Wings beat Bismarck 3-2. Before the game began, the Yelduz Shrine Chanters gave an amazing performance of the Star Spangled Banner. In the first period, Wings forward #23 Jackson Graalum (F-Fargo, ND) scored the first goal of the night for the Wings and the teddy bears came flying. Members of the Wings staff and arena event staff, along with some players hurried as quick as possible to clear the ice of the bears to resume play, but the outpouring support was fantastic. Over 350 stuffed animals were gathered, thanks to the continued generosity of the best fans in the NAHL.
All stuffed animals will be donated to the Shriners Hospitals For Children.
Thank you Wings fans. Again, you prove that Wings fans are the best in the NAHL!
