North Augusta, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of San Francisco Giants, lost 2-1 to the Kannapolis Intimidators on Monday night.

The game was scoreless until the fourth inning, when the Intimidators put up two-runs after having the bases loaded with no outs. The GreenJackets would respond with one in the bottom of the inning to cut the lead to 2-1. A RBI single from Jeffry Parra would knock in Manuel Geraldo from second base.

The GreenJackets looked to tie up the game in the bottom of the ninth inning as Logan Baldwin reached first after a dropped third strike by the catcher. Next up was Malique Zielger, who reached first base on a throwing error on the shortstop. Finally with Ismael Mungia at the plate, the Intimidators would pull off the win after he grounded out to second base and ending the GreenJackets comeback.

The GreenJackets (14-23) will be back in action tomorrow at 7:05 pm for game two with the Intimidators.

Tomorrow we will have Comfort Keepers Bingo and Senior Health Fair Expo at SRP Park!
