The Crosscutters scored four of their five runs with two outs and beat the State College Spikes 5-4 Sunday at Bowman Field.

The Cutters went 3-for-10 with runners in scoring position and played sound offense to beat State College.

Chris Serritella went 2-for-4 with two RBI, Tyler Greene homered and Roman Quinn reached base four times and stole two bases.

Williamsport took the lead in the third inning. Tyler Greene hit his third home run of the season, a solo shot to left field. With two outs and two runners in scoring position, Chris Serritella then hit a fly ball down the right field line to scored Kyle Hoppy and Cameron Perkins and give the Cutters a 3-0 lead.

State College tied it in the fifth, scoring three runs off of Manaure Martinez. With the bases loaded and one out, Alex Fuselier drove in Yhonathan Barrios. D.J. Crumlich then hit a sac fly to score Jared Lakind. Jacob Stallings finally singled in Jodaneli Carvajal to tie the game at three.

But another two-out rally put the Cutters up for good. In the bottom of the fifth, Roman Quinn singled, stole second, advanced to third and scored the go-ahead run on a Perkins infield single. After Serritella extended the inning with a single to left-center, Larry Greene drove in Perkins to up the Williamsport lead to 5-3.

State College mustered one more run off of reliever Chris Nichols, but Matt Sisto bridged the gap and Andrew Aizenstadt notched the save as Williamsport wins their second straight game.
