Two Members of Steel Added to All-Star Game

Bensenville, IL—The Chicago Steel is very proud to announce the naming of two members of the team to the USHL PROSPECTS/ALL-STAR game in Lincoln, NE. The two players are centers Topher Scott and Matt McIlvane, both will be in Lincoln on February 3, 2004. Participants are selected by the USHL with help from the NHL's Central Scouting Service. Around 30 percent of the two team's rosters are made up of NHL prospects nominated by the Central Scouting Service.

Topher Scott, Buffalo Grove, IL, is in his fourth season with the Chicago Steel. Scott is this season's team captain and has the Steel sitting atop of the Eastern Conference. In 36 games, Topher has 13 goals and 30 points; he is currently tied for second on team scoring with McIlvane. He will center a line on Team World. Topher has made his college commitment to play for Cornell this fall.

Matt McIlvane, Naperville, IL, is participating in his first season with the Chicago Steel. Matt is an Assistant Captain and has 13 goals and 30 points in 36 games. Matt will also be a member of Team World. McIlvane will skate for the Ohio State Buckeyes in the fall, and is ranked #155 for North American Skaters by the Central Scouting Service.

Goaltender Adam D'Alba, Glencoe, IL, was named as an alternate goaltender to the game. If one of the four goaltenders is unable to participate, Adam will guard the crease. This is the first time in Steel history, that all the All-Stars nominated from the Steel where natives of Chicago.
