
Two Hurricanes to Attend NHL Rookie Camps

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Tuesday that 2003-born defenceman Joe Arntsen and 2003-born forward Ty Nash will attend National Hockey League Rookie Camps.
Arntsen, 19, will attend Carolina Hurricanes rookie camp. The Dinsmore, SK product attended Carolina's development camp in the spring. Lethbridge's co-captain was originally a second-round (35th overall) pick by the Hurricanes in the 2018 WHL Prospects Draft. The 6'2, 200-piund rearguard has appeared in 135 regular season games with the 'Canes in his WHL career totaling 47 points (10g-37a) along with 156 penalty minutes. Arntsen set a career in 2021-2022 with eight goals and 37 points in 68 games.
Nash, 19, will attended the Edmonton Oilers rookie camp after participating in their spring development camp. The Scottsdale, AZ product attended Carolina's rookie camp last season. He was selected by Lethbridge in the ninth-round (183rd overall) in the 2018 WHL Draft. Nash has suited up in 144 regular season games with the Hurricanes amassing 66 points (27g-39a) and 77 penalty minutes, including a career-high 17 goals and 38 points in 60 games in 2021-2022.
The pair will attend their respective camps from September 13th until September 20th.
The Hurricanes continue the 2022 ENMAX Pre-Season on Friday, September 16th when they welcome the Red Deer Rebels at 7:00pm to the ENMAX Centre. Tickets for the game can be purchased for $10.00 cash at the door or in advance by visiting the Lethbridge Hurricanes Office, the Lethbridge Minor Hockey Office or any Gas King location.
Parking will be free of charge for the Hurricanes pre-season games.
Lethbridge will open the 2022 WHL Regular Season on Saturday, September 24th in Medicine Hat before hosting the Tigers on Friday, September 30th at the ENMAX Centre for the Dairy Queen Home Opener. Individual game tickets for the 2022-2023 regular season will go on sale on Thursday, September 15th at 10:00am and can be purchased at the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre, the Yates Memorial Theatre Ticket Centre, by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328) or online at www.lethbridgehurricanes.com.
