
Two Hitmen Earn Attention Ahead of 2020 NHL Draft

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club is pleased to announce NHL Central Scouting has named two Hitmen players to its midterm rankings list ahead of the 2020 NHL Draft.
Defenceman Luke Prokop, who will play in the 2020 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game on Thursday in Hamilton, ON, makes the list at number 86 among North American skaters. The 17-year-old from Edmonton, AB, is in his second season in the WHL and playing top-four minutes on the Hitmen blueline.
Goaltender Jack McNaughton is ranked 14th among North American goalies. The 18-year-old from Calgary, AB, is also in his sophomore season but already 11th in franchise history with 1,634 career regular season saves.
The midterm rankings, released today, is compiled by NHL Central Scouting and splits prospects into both North American (NA) and International categories.

The 2020 NHL Draft will be held June 26-27 at Bell Centre in Montreal.
Calgary opens their longest road trip of the New Year, a five-game journey, in Swift Current for a date with the Broncos on Wednesday, Jan. 15. It's then off to Brandon (Jan. 17), then Winnipeg for back-to-back dates with the Ice (Jan. 18/19) before concluding the swing in Red Deer (Jan. 25). The next Hitmen home game is not until Sunday, Jan. 26 for a rematch with the Rebels.
