Two Cracker-Cats added to All-star game

(Edmonton, AB) - Today the Edmonton Cracker-Cats announced that infielder Stubby Clapp and left-handed pitcher Mike Kusiewicz have been added to the Northern League North Division All-Star Team. The All-Star game takes on July 19 in Gary, IN.

Clapp, a native of Windsor, ON, is currently hitting .301 with four home runs and 23 RBI in 40 games played. Clapp leads the team with 17 doubles and 19 walks. Entering the season, Clapp had appeared in 824 minor league games, posting a career average of .268 with 43 home runs and 323 RBI.

Kusiewicz, a native of Montreal, is tied for the club lead with five wins and leads the club with three complete games. The lefty has not lost a game all season, and is the only current Cracker-Cats pitcher without a loss. He also leads the team in innings pitched with 64.1 and is third in the league with a 2.24 ERA.

The Cracker-Cats next home date will be on Tuesday, July 12 @ 7:05PM as they host the Gary SouthShore RailCats.

All Friday, Saturday and Sunday Cracker-Cats games are on the air as veteran broadcaster Al Coates calls the games on TEAM 1260. The next broadcast will be July 15 as the Sioux City Explorers come to town.
