
Two Baysox Named All-Stars

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox and the Eastern League of Professional Baseball Clubs announce today that Baysox designated hitter Joel Guzman and second baseman Ryan Adams have been named to the 2010 Eastern League All-Star Team. The team is voted on by Eastern League managers and coaches, sportswriters, radio and television broadcasters and other members of the media.
Guzman leads the league with 29 home runs, is second with 234 total bases and ranks fourth with 83 RBIs. He was named to the Western Division All-Star team earlier this year, but was not able to attend the game. The slugger is batting .271 this season and leads the Baysox in runs scored (80), home runs, RBIs and total bases.
Adams has 41 doubles this season, leading the Eastern League and setting a new franchise record for two-baggers. He is second on the team in runs scored (72), total bases (226), walks (42) and on-base percentage (.370), and third in home runs (12) and RBIs (62).
