JUPITER, FL - Jacob Turner looked great in his second rehab start and Matt Juengel's RBI double in the eighth inning was the difference as the Hammerheads beat the Palm Beach Cardinals 4-1 in the first game of the annual Fins vs. Feathers series at Roger Dean Stadium.

In his second rehab start with Jupiter after suffering a strained shoulder earlier this year, Turner was nothing short of fantastic.

The right-hander scattered four hits in seven innings while striking out seven and walking one. His only blemish was a solo home run he allowed to David Washington in the fifth inning.

The Hammerheads took an early lead in the top of the first inning when Austin Barnes led off the ballgame with a double off of Marco Gonzales and two batters later Colin Moran drove him in with a single.

The game would remain 1-0 until Washington's solo blast to the opposite field in the fifth.

Jupiter would break the stalemate in the top of the eighth inning. Cameron Flynn led off the frame with a double down the right field line and followed by a pop up by Moran and a walk by Viosergy Rosa.

The Cardinals would then summon Dixon Llorens to the game and Juengel would deliver with a double over the head of the center fielder to plate Flynn.

It was Juengel's second hit of the night as he extended his hitting streak to eight games.

The Hammerheads would pick up two more runs in the eighth when Rosa scampered home on a wild pitch by Llorens and when Juengel scored on a groundout off the bat of Blake Barber.

Colby Suggs would come out of the bullpen in the bottom of the eighth and he tossed two perfect innings to earn his first save of the year.

The Hammerheads and Cardinals will play the second game of the first Fins vs. Feathers series on Tuesday. Palm Beach will be the designated home team in that contest. First pitch is at 6:35 p.m.

WP: Jacob Turner (1-1)

LP: Mitch Harris (0-2)
