Tulsa Roughnecks Flag Giveaway to First 1,000 Fans this Saturday
Published on April 6, 2017 under United Soccer League Championship (USL)
FC Tulsa News Release
The Tulsa Roughnecks FC is back in action at ONEOK Field Saturday night for its third home match in as many weekends. The Roughnecks will host the Sacramento Republic FC with kickoff scheduled for 7:00pm in downtown Tulsa.
The Archer Gate at ONEOK Field will open at 5:00pm, and fans will want to arrive early. The first 1,000 fans to enter the stadium with a paid admission will receive a full-color 2017 Roughnecks flag compliments of Pepsi, FOX23 and Mix 96.
In addition, Saturday's match will include a Roughnecks Rally that will begin at 5:00pm at the new Busch Scoreboard Bar. From 5:00-6:30pm, fans will be able to enjoy domestic, 12-ounce draft beers for only $1 per serving at the new bar and 16-ounce soft drinks for only $1 each at the nearby concession stand. Also, hot dogs will be on sale for only $1 each. The Kids Zone and Splash Zone will be open for young fans, and a balloon artist and face painter will be available.
At 5:30pm, youth soccer players, ages 4-14, will be able to participate in the McDonald's Youth Clinic on the ONEOK Field pitch with selected Roughnecks players and coaches. Players are encouraged to wear appropriate attire and sneakers for the clinic.
Activities will continue after the match with the Official After Game Party at the Busch Scoreboard Bar. After the final whistle, fans can purchase 24-ounce draft beers served in special Roughnecks collectors cups for only $4 each. Entertainment will be provided by the Chris Hyde Trio.
The match will feature the return of Sammy Ochoa to Tulsa. Ochoa played for the Roughnecks in their first two seasons in the USL, scoring 19 times for Tulsa. He joined Sacramento during the off-season and has scored three time in the first two matches.
TRFC will look to do something Saturday night it has never done. The Roughnecks have never beaten Sacramento, losing both meetings during the club's inaugural 2015 season and dropping the final match of the 2016 campaign in the two sides only meeting last year.
The match will mark the beginning of the Roughnecks broadcast package with Cox. The game will be shown live for Cox subscribers on YurView Channel 1333 and/or Channel 1334. Every home match, with one exception, will be shown live by Cox.
Tickets for the game, and all other games this season, are available online at RoughnecksFC.com, over the telephone at (918)744-5901 or in-person at the ONEOK Field Ticket Office. A number of season ticket packages are also still available.
The official online stream for the match can be found through the USL MatchCenter.

AFTER 2 WEEKS OF PLAY: Tulsa will officially enter the match with 3 points and a 1-1-0 record on the season after losing its opening week victory over Colorado Springs to a forfeiture. Sacramento comes in undefeated, posting a 2-1 win over Seattle Sounders 2 in week one and a 4-0 shutout win over Orange County last week.
HITTING THE ROAD: The Roughnecks will not play another home match until Thursday, May 11 as their next two matches will be on the road. Following a week off, Tulsa will play at Rio Grande Valley on Saturday, April 22 in a rematch of the Roughnecks 1-0 victory last week at ONEOK Field. On Friday, April 28, TRFC will travel to Colorado Springs for another rematch with a second meeting with the Switchbacks.
