March 8, 2013 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Tulsa Oilers News Release
TULSA, OK - The Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League are partnering with Budweiser and the Folds of Honor Foundation to present their annual Military Night on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the BOK Center. The Oilers will face off against the Bloomington Blaze at 7:35 p.m.
The Oilers players will be wearing special camouflage-themed jerseys which will be auctioned off immediately following the game. Portions of the auction proceeds along with a percentage of ticket sales will benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation which provides scholarships and assistance to the spouses and children of soldiers who have been killed or disabled in service to the United States. Since Major Dan Rooney started the Folds of Honor in 2007, the foundation has donated over 3,800 scholarships to families in each of the fifty states.
Thanks to Budweiser and its "*Here's to the Heroes"* campaign as well as the support of Tulsa's Channel 8, the Oilers annual Military Night will serve as a tribute to all of America's courageous veterans and to the brave men and women who are actively serving and who continue to sacrifice so much to preserve our freedom.
In addition to the ticket sales and jersey auction, several other fundraisers will take place throughout the evening while the Oilers take time to recognize all military personnel and their families.
Fans are encouraged to click herefor a ticket voucher which can be redeemed at the BOK Center box office for a $5 discount with $3 from each from ticket going directly to the Folds of Honor.
The Oilers would like to thank all those who have defended our country and would also like to invite all of their fans to join in this very special night of saluting our nation's heroes.
