January 29, 2010 - NBA G League (G League)
Iowa Wolves News Release
TULSA, OK, Jan. 29, 2010 - The Iowa Energy's five game win streak came to a halt Friday night as the Tulsa 66ers downed the Energy 111-87.
Iowa struggled to find its shooting touch early, as the league leaders managed only 35 first half points to trail by 13 at the break. The Energy appeared to regroup in the third quarter as a Curtis Stinson jumper with 1:34 left in the quarter cut the lead to three.
Tulsa responded by going on a 15-1 run midway through the fourth quarter, including nine points from former Minnesota Timberwolve Chris Richard, to put the game out of reach. The 66ers scored a game high 41 points in the quarter.
Iowa was led by Stinson's 18 points and 6 assists. The Energy, who had only 11 assists in the game, drop to 21-6 with the loss.
The 66ers were led by Moses Ehambe's 21 points. Guard Mustafa Shakur added 18 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the home team. The win improves Tulsa to 13-11 on the season.
Iowa travels to Ft. Wayne Sunday for a game at 4 PM Central. The team returns home for weekend games on Friday, February 5th and Saturday, February 6th. The game on February 6th features a doubleheader with the Ames High School boys team playing at 5pm and the Energy playing at 7pm. Your ticket gets you in to both games that evening.
