Try Hockey for Free Day Coming to Pensacola

Pensacola, Fla. - Oct. 23, 2012 - The Pensacola Junior Ice Flyers, in cooperation with the Pensacola Ice Flyers and the Pensacola Bay Center, are hosting a "Try Hockey for Free Day," for boys and girls ages four to nine years old on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 12-2:30 p.m.

This clinic provides the opportunity for children who may not have been exposed to hockey to learn the basics of the sport in a fun, safe environment. Any child who participants will receive a free USA Hockey jersey and a free ticket to watch the Ice Flyers face off against the Mississippi Surge on Nov. 3 at 7:05 p.m. Kids only need to bring a helmet of any kind and winter gloves. Skates will be provided.

"Try Hockey For Free Day" is part of Come Play Hockey Month. This program, designed to provide youth hockey associations a national platform to introduce kids to the sport, is a joint-effort between USA Hockey, the National Hockey League, and NHL member clubs. Along with Total Hockey and Liberty Mutual Responsible Sports, official sponsors of Try Hockey For Free Day, USA Hockey has 500 locations offering kids between the ages of four and nine years old this unique opportunity.
