Spokane Shock News Release

SPOKANE, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that WR/DB Isaiah Trufant, 5'7" 160, has been assigned to their roster by the af2 League Office.

Trufant, the younger brother of Seattle Seahawk and former Cougar Marcus Trufant, just completed a four-year career at Eastern Washington University. As a member of the Eagles, Trufant played in 39 games, totaling 11 interceptions and 133 total tackles. His career was capped off by a senior season in which he was named 1st Team All Big Sky Conference, despite an injury that limited his play to six games.

Trufant, a Tacoma native and rookie to the af2, is excited about joining the Shock. "I'm looking forward to a new experience. It's a whole new game so I'm going to have to adjust but I'm looking forward to playing and helping the team out."

Trufant will depend on his athletic ability that includes a 4.3 40-yard dash and a 42 inch vertical leap. The Shock's roster now includes five players from Eastern Washington University.

Trufant will be cleared to play in this weekend's game as the Shock host the Albany Conquest on Saturday night. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling 325-SEAT or visiting any TicketsWest outlet.
