Trio of Stallions Capture Weekly USFL Honors

Birmingham Stallions running back Bo Scarbrough, Birmingham Stallions safety Christian McFarland, and Birmingham Stallions linebacker Scooby Wright were named the OurSports Central United States Football League Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Unsung Hero of the Week, respectively, for the USFL Championship Game.

Scarbrough carried the ball 13 times for 135 yards in the Stallions' 33-30 victory over the Philadelphia Stars. The former Alabama running back joined the Stallions in week four and finished the regular season with 352 yards and one touchdown.

Here's Scarbrough's longest run of the game that went for 70 yards in the second quarter:

An honorable mention goes to Philadelphia Stars quarterback Case Cookus who completed 17 of 29 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns.

He left the game midway through the fourth quarter after breaking his fibula.

McFarland finished with nine tackles, seven solo including one for a loss, one interception and one pass deflected in the Stallions victory. McFarland finished the regular season with 36 total tackles.

Here's McFarland first interception of the USFL season with 16 seconds left in the game off of Stars quarterback K.J. Costello:

Wright intercepted Stars Costello's pass and returned it 46 yards for a score with 2:53 left for the score that put the game out of reach. Wright finished the regular season 37.5 total tackles and three sacks.
