O'Grady, Northrup and Smith Named OurSports Central USFL Players of the Week

Tampa Bay Bandits tight end Cheyenne O'Grady, Houston Gamblers linebacker Reggie Northrup and Birmingham Stallions quarterback J'Mar Smith were named the OurSports Central United States Football League Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Unsung Hero of the Week, respectively, for week one of the USFL season.
Cheyenne O'Grady finished with eight receptions on 11 targets for 86 yards in Tampa Bay's 17-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Maulers Monday night. His longest reception was for 24 yards. O'Grady was selected in the 34th round of the 2022 USFL Draft. He completed his college career with 87 catches for 967 yards and 12 touchdowns in nearly 3 1/2 years with the Arkansas Razorbacks from 2015 until 2019.
Reggie Northrup totalled 11 tackles, five of them solo, and recovered a fumble and returned it 87 yard for a touchdown in the Houston's 17-12 victory over the Michigan Panthers Sunday.
Northrup was drafted by the Gamblers in the 21st round of the 2022 USFL Draft. He played college football at Florida State from 2012 until 2015 where he earned Third Team All-ACC honors in 2014 with 122 total tackles. In 2015 he earned Second Team All-ACC honors with 96 total tackles.
Birmingham Stallions quarterback J'Mar Smith came off the bench to drive his team 59 yards down the field before scoring the game-winning, two-yard touchdown run with only 23 seconds left in the Stallions' 28-24 victory over the New Jersey Generals on Saturday night.
Smith was taken in the 12th round of the 2022 USFL Draft. He played college football at Louisiana Tech under Stallions head coach Skip Holtiz from 2015 until 2019. In 2019 Smith was named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year.
