Henderson - The American Hockey League announced today, April 1, that Silver Knights forward Trevor Connelly has been named the Upper Deck/AHL Rookie of the Month for the month of March.

Connelly, 20, posted points in all 15 games in March, his current 15-game points streak serving as the longest in Silver Knights franchise history and the third-longest in the AHL this season. Connelly has tallied three goals and 20 points during the points streak, including five multipoint games.

Beyond his work in March, Connelly has points in 20 of his last 21 contests, totaling eight goals and 30 points over that span. That stretch includes his first AHL hat trick, recorded on February 20th against the Abbotsford Canucks. Since the All-Star Break, Connelly leads the AHL in scoring.

A first-round pick (19th overall) of the Vegas Golden Knights in 2024, Connelly has totaled 11 goals and 40 points in 38 games this season. His 1.05 points per game are second among AHL rookies only to Bakersfield Condors forward Isaac Howard.

The Tustin, California native has matched the Silver Knights single-season franchise record for assists by a rookie, matching Daniil Miromanov's 29 assists in 2021-22. He also joins Miromanov and teammate Ben Hemmerling as the only Silver Knights rookies to record 40 or more points in a season.

The 6-foot-1 Connelly has collected 12 goals and 44 points in 44 career AHL games after making his AHL debut at the end of the 2024-25 season. Prior to his professional career, Connelly registered four goals and 13 points in 23 games during his one NCAA season at Providence College in 2024-25. Connelly also won a Gold Medal at the 2025 World Junior Championships with Team USA. He was selected to Team USA again this season, but could not participate in the tournament due to injury.

Connelly becomes the second Silver Knight to win Rookie of the Month honors in as many months, with Hemmerling earning the recognition in February. He also becomes the third Silver Knight to earn a league-wide award this season, with Raphael Lavoie being named the Fortune Tires "Expect More" AHL Player of the Month for March on Tuesday.
